The Barbastathis research group focuses on developing novel optical systems for phase retrieval, quantitative phase imaging, and tomographic imaging for various applications (e.g., biology, manufacturing). In parallel to the hardware development, they are keen to tackle with optically challenging situations, such as low-photon condition and limited angle tomography, with novel machine learning (ML) approaches.
